Description

Ingredients

Ingredients:
5 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
2 large eggs
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup whole milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla bean paste
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (not Dutch-processed)
Additional Ingredients for Production:
1 egg white
Additional all-purpose flour for work surface

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F.  Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs one at a time until incorporated. Mix in milk, vanilla, and salt until incorporated.  Mix in flour in three stages just until incorporated. Do not over mix. 

Remove half of the dough from mixer.  In half of dough mixture still in mixer, mix in cocoa powder until incorporated. Do not over mix. 

On lightly floured surface roll out white dough until approximately 1/4 inch thick.  On lightly floured surface roll out chocolate dough until approximately 1/4 inch thick. 

Wrap each dough separately in plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 10 minutes.  Remove plastic wrap. Brush white dough with egg white and place chocolate dough on top. Trim doughs into an even rectangle. Roll rectangle up into a log. Wrap log in plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes.


Remove plastic wrap. Slice log into 1/4 inch thick rounds. 
15. Place rounds on a parchment lined baking sheet leaving one inch around each cookie to accommodate spread.  Bake until just slightly golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. 

Cool cookies on parchment paper on cooling rack.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

At LPSC, Inc. we know life happens. If you are unable to attend a class for any reason just let us know and we will refund your class tuition minus the non-refundable registration fee.

Each class has a percentage of its class fee dedicated to set costs associated with the class which we call the non-refundable registration fee. All class tuition fees include a 25% non-refundable registration fee. Non-refundable registration fees will never exceed $200.00.

The registration fee is non-refundable except for the following situations:
In the event of insufficient enrollment a class may be rescheduled or cancelled. We typically make this decision five (5) days in advance of the scheduled class. We will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

In case of inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, a class may be rescheduled or cancelled without prior notice. Again, we will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

Privately Contracted Events, Gastronomic Tours & Events at Sapore are Non-Refundable

LIABILITY

The LPSC will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to students or their property, due to any act, neglect or omission by the school, its agents or employees. The LPSC reserves the right under unavoidable circumstances or adverse weather conditions to alter the timing or content of any course and to substitute any teacher at any time.
