Panettone Bread


8 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
4 cups bread flour
2 tsp. dried yeast
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup almond, toasted roughly chopped
1 orange, zest
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup warm milk, plus extra, if needed
1 cup milk chocolate, roughly chopped
Powdered sugar, to dust


Butter a panettone pan. Proof the yeast into 1 cup of warm water. Add it to the flour in a large bowl. Stir in sugar, vanilla, raisins, nuts and zest. 

Add the eggs, melted butter and the scalded milk. Mix the dough until it is smooth and elastic (add a little extra milk, if it’s dry). 

Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 15 minutes or until smooth. Put in a lightly greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Leave in a warm place for at least 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Punch the dough, then knead for 5 minutes on the floured surface. Gradually knead in the chocolate as quickly as possible to avoid the chunks melting. Shape the dough into a ball and place into the prepared panettone pan. Cover and leave for 50 minutes in a warm spot to rise.

Preheat the oven to 375 F. Brush the top of the panettone with melted butter. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden in color. Cool and remove from the pan. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.

Each class has a percentage of its class fee dedicated to set costs associated with the class which we call the non-refundable registration fee. All class tuition fees include a 25% non-refundable registration fee. Non-refundable registration fees will never exceed $200.00.

The registration fee is non-refundable except for the following situations:
In the event of insufficient enrollment a class may be rescheduled or cancelled. We typically make this decision five (5) days in advance of the scheduled class. We will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

In case of inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, a class may be rescheduled or cancelled without prior notice. Again, we will make every effort to notify you in advance through the contact information you provided and provide you a full refund including the registration fee.

The LPSC will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to students or their property, due to any act, neglect or omission by the school, its agents or employees. The LPSC reserves the right under unavoidable circumstances or adverse weather conditions to alter the timing or content of any course and to substitute any teacher at any time.
